About Bryan

Bryan Kennedy is an Oklahoma State University alumnus who has dedicated over two decades to agricultural education, teaching AgED for 20 years and helping students achieve success at every level. He and his wife Shannon, married for 35 years, are proud parents of two children — Jake and Katie — both of whom attend Oklahoma State University.

Bryan’s passion for agriculture runs deep. He runs a farm and ranch with a 120-head club cow herd and has spent the past 10 years working with Oklahoma State Extension. His judging experience is equally impressive, having judged in 12 states at all levels, from local to national shows.

Why Bryan Loves Judging

For Bryan, judging is all about the next generation. “I love working with youth, who are the next generation of agriculturists,” he says.

Bryan believes that the values of youth livestock projects are just as important today as they were when he was a kid showing. “Work ethic, responsibility, learning how to win and lose, the network of people you meet along the way, the care and management of animals — there are so many positives, including the family aspect that it takes to be successful.”
